Being recognized as one of the most talented artist in the Soviet Union by Western media and art critics, Simon was able to save most of his works upon his departure from Russia. He started his new post-Soviet career working in France, Belgium, Germany, and Israel, the latter of which proclaimed him a national artist. Living and working in the United States, Simon studied geometry and math and created a new genre of fine art -Fourth Dimensional Realism. Discovering that Maurice Escher was close, but did not quite take math far enough to its extreme in artwork, Simon discovered that by contorting objects in a certain manner he could create a fourth dimension of time in his works. Simon progressed from cubes with five corners to chairs that permitted one person to sit on the top of the chair, while a second person sat on the bottom of the chair, both at the same time, to stairwells that permitted people and animals to ascend and descend both sides of the stairs simultaneously. Vibrant colors and artistic visual expression and perception of the geometry of the 4th dimension resulted in the creation of a completely new art form which has not existed ever before. Simon Marinberg devoted decades of intensive research in philosophy, geometry, art, and logic to succeed in the creation of 4th dimensional realism for all to enjoy. |
