The daughter of an artist mother and a poet father, Ariana Camille Lance engaged her artistic awareness at an early age. Born in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, she grew up amidst the boundless natural beauty of the Appalachian region. She began her artistic career as a dabbler, experimenting with oils, watercolors, and pastels. Early on she assisted her mother in the dark-room chores and consequently developed a love for the possibilities of the photographic medium. From there it was a natural step to begin snapping away at spring flowers with a Nikon camera many years her senior. Her growing passion for the picture medium eventually led her to attend the Miami Ad School in for photography and design.

Ariana quickly grew into a photographic style founded squarely on pure fractal offerings from the lines of nature. Her photographs transformation a macro-shot into a an endlessly rich scene of color and form that invites the viewer in. She has discovered that the larger the picture, the more intensely inviting it becomes.

Ariana's passion for photography is matched by an equal fondness for travel. Her trips to China, Europe, and Australia have inspired hundreds of shots and contributed an on going sense of growth to her photographic vision. When at home, she volunteers her skills shooting photos of wildlife.
